Top-level meeting at the EU Commission

The heads of the eight EUt+ universities visited EU Commissioner Mariya Gabriel on 14 June for an exchange of information. Prof. Dr. Arnd Steinmetz represented Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da) at the meeting.

As EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel is also responsible for promoting excellence and networking among European universities and implementing the European Higher Education Initiative, and is thus an important contact person for the participating universities.

Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is a member of the EUt+, or in long form "European University of Technology". The EUt+ is one of 41 European university alliances that are funded within the framework of the EU's "European University Initiative". The aim is to build a European university with close cooperation in areas such as teaching and research. Joint European degrees are also planned.
