Study financing opportunities

For many students, commencing their studies means having to look after, and finance, themselves for the first time. No tuition fees are charged at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, you will only need to pay the semester contribution.

There are a variety of ways available to finance a course of studies:

The Federal Training Assistance Act for Students (BAföG) provides financial support for students, in order for them to complete their studies as well as pay their living expenses. Half of students’ BAföG payments are generally in the form of a grant, whilst the other half is an interest-free loan. Detailed information is available from the  Federal Ministry for Education and Research along with BaföG advice from the students’ union

h_da offers consultation appointments for students regarding BAFöG. All the relevant information is available at AStA at AG Studienfinanzierung
