The information on this page is aimed at prospective students and students who would like to complete their entire degree programme in Germany. Here you will find information for excange students.
Before studying
Personal interests are very important when choosing a degree programme. In addition to the formal requirements such as language skills and university entrance qualification, a good preparation also includes a comparison of personal expectations, skills and the content of the study programme. To start your studies
Information events are offered on arriving in Germany and at the h_da, which are published every semester on the page on starting your studies. We have also listed further information for you here:

Events and Networking

- STUBE Hessen: development policy seminars and support programmes for students from Africa, Asia and Latin America.
DAAD Prize
The h_da can award a prize for an international student through the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The prize for outstanding achievements comes with prize money of 1.000,00€.
The prize recognizes very good academic achievements and a remarkable social, societal or university-internal commitment.
You cannot apply yourself, but you may be nominated through a professor if you meet the following criteria:
- You are an international student and plan to graduate from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da).
- You are at least in the 2nd year of your Bachelor's degree or at least in the 2nd semester of your Master's degree.
- You have at least good academic performance and are socially engaged.
If these criteria apply to you, you can contact one of your professors. Reasoned proposals can be submitted until 15.09.2024 for the selection process.
