Before studying
Personal interests are very important when choosing a degree programme. In addition to the formal requirements such as language skills and university entrance qualification, a good preparation also includes a comparison of personal expectations, skills and the content of the study programme. Information events are offered on arriving in Germany and at the h_da, which are published every semester on the page on starting your studies. We have also listed further information for you here:

Basis course in the summer semester 2026
We offer this course at the beginning of each semester for anyone who has moved to Germany to study. It provides the basics for successful studies: First steps in Germany and at h_da, residence regulations, organising your studies & important study tools. The next basis course in English will take place on April 2nd at 12.30 pm on Zoom:

- Anti-discrimination: Contact point and measures in the event of experiences of discrimination.
- Counselling lecturers provide support during the course of studies.
