Please note that you will need to log in to many of the systems with your h_da ID. It may be necessary to prefix the user name with "h-da\". Adobe Creative Cloud

The Adobe applications used at h_da are managed in the Adobe Creative Cloud, which employees can access from their computer. Students can use the Adobe laboratory licences in the laboratories.

Antivirus / Sophos

h_da has concluded a licence agreement with Sophos, which includes the business and private use of the Sophos virus scanner and the update service for virus signatures by all university members.

Library

The library is the academic literature and information centre of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. As a central learning centre, it offers a modern media collection close to the university. On the library homepage linked above you will find links to online services, databases and remote access to electronic media.

BigBlueButton (BBB)

The open source solution BigBlueButton, which can be accessed via the short URL rooms.h-da.de, will in future be the central university solution for video conferencing at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. The data protection-friendly video conferencing platform is available for lectures, seminars, tutorials, meetings and as a virtual learning space.

Collaboard

Collaboard is a GDPR-compliant cloud-based online whiteboard with extensive functions for workshops, mind maps, brainstorming sessions and much more. The basic functions without a licence are available to everyone; employees in administration and specialist departments as well as all teaching staff can apply for a free full version.

CommuniTeach

CommuniTeach provides all teaching staff, including student trainers, with a platform that brings together information on all aspects of teaching. For example, you can find suggestions and specific instructions on didactics, the creation of teaching materials, tools and technology, legal issues and evaluation. It is also possible to exchange tried and tested teaching concepts and network with other lecturers via the platform.

 

CD portal

Corporate Design Portal: The CD portal provides employees with letter and presentation templates as well as logo variants.

 

Citavi literature management

The library at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences has a campus licence for the software "Citavi - Literature Management and Knowledge Organisation". Students and all employees can use this programme at work and at home free of charge.

Cloud storage next.Hessenbox

Cloud solution for students and employees, which also allows cross-university collaboration. Access to next.Hessenbox is via the next.Hessenbox website, on which Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences must be selected from the drop-down list. The login is done with the h_da user ID. External third parties can only access files that are shared with them by employees and/or students.

Cloud storage nextCloud

Cloud storage for employees that allows access from anywhere with a browser and synchronisation of the files stored there with several end devices (PC, mobile devices) of all common operating systems (Windows, Android, iOS, OS X, Linux). Access authorisations can be granted for external users.

ESS of Hessian universities

The ESS portal (Employee Self Service) of the Hessian universities can be used to create and manage absences such as holidays (so-called "restricted service", i.e. access from outside the university network is only possible via a specially set up access ). A changeover is currently taking place. If your department already uses ESS via the FIORI interface, please use this link .

 

EVER / Fiori

The electronic processing of incoming invoices (EVER) enables employees to post, check, approve and pay electronically. Those who do not want to work directly in SAP can use the Fiori app. (So-called "restricted service", i.e. access from outside the university network is only possible via a specially set up access.)

As an institutional repository, h_docs offers all members of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences the opportunity to publish scientific documents electronically on the Internet in the spirit of open and free access to science (Open Science).

IMS

Integrated Management System: In the h_da IMS, all standard documents (such as statutes, application forms or information sheets) are managed for employees and organisational structures and processes are presented transparently. The use of the IMS is being phased out. Therefore, not all areas will be updated.

Intranet

The h_da intranet is the password-protected area of the h_da website. If you have an h_da user account, you can log in to the intranet via the "On/Off" button at the top of the h_da homepage and then see the additional main menu item INTRANET. There you will find messages and a wide range of information from the various organisational units. Supporting documents, such as IT instructions, and records, such as Senate minutes, are also available on the intranet.

IT ticket system

In the ticket system, you can report IT problems, suggestions, questions and change requests directly to the IT Service Desk. You can also check the processing steps and the status of your ticket here. You will also find helpful information on IT security and other useful links.

Job portal for students - online job exchange

For students of all disciplines and after successfully completing their studies at h_da, the job portal offers the placement of student jobs, student research projects and internships as well as activities as working students or for career entry.

AI tools for studying and teaching

Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences provides all teaching staff and students with access to various AI tools. General information can be found on the project page.

Access to the systems and further explanations as well as didactic support material are available via the Moodle course KI@h_da.

MoveON - Database of h_da's partner institutions abroad

Here you will find an overview of all partner universities of the h_da. You can search for partner universities in specific countries as well as options for a stay abroad specific to your subject area.

my.h-da - My university portal

At my.h-da.de, students can print out certificates and, depending on the department's approval, register for and deregister from courses and examinations and view grades. The current course catalogue can also be viewed directly on my.h-da.de.

Particify - Audience Response System

With Particify, a further development of the ARSnova tool, lecturers can organise low-threshold polls and surveys and obtain feedback. Questions can be asked anonymously using the Q&A function. The tool can be used to support didactic scenarios such as just-in-time teaching (JiTT), peer instruction or inverted classrooms.

In the h_da directory of persons you will not only find the names, functions and roles as well as telephone numbers and offices of the people at h_da, here you can also manage your personal data, such as newsletters, absence messages, roles and functions and much more. (From outside, you must log in via the corresponding link on the campus view to see the Role selection field).

qurricula

The online portal "qurricula" contains all relevant information on the organisation and administration of all study programmes at h_da. Here you can search for and find all important data in one place, updated daily. You can log in with your h_da user ID.

Sharepoint for reduction of professorships

This is where all university-related (central) applications for the reduction of teaching commitments for professorships (in accordance with the General Provisions for the Reduction of Teaching Commitments pursuant to the Teaching Commitments Ordinance) are submitted, managed and approved. Basic documents and instructions for use can be found on the Sharepoint homepage under "Links".

Telephone system

The Voice over IP (VoIP) telephony system of the DFN is used at h_da. On the intranet page Telephony at h_da you will find information on the changeover to the new telephone system as well as device-dependent user documentation with many further instructions, e.g. on the topics of function keys for speed dialling, call forwarding, conference calls and answering machines or voicemail/voice messages.

 

Typo3 / CMS

The content management system (CMS) Typo3 is used at h_da to edit internet and intranet pages. Special training courses for editorial work and activation are required.

Video conferences

In addition to BigBlueButton (see above), h_da currently offers various other services for video conferencing, which are described on the linked intranet page and can also be accessed from there. Tips on how to use them are also available there.

Webmail for employees

Employees can use webmail to pick up their emails while on the move or from their smartphone, set absence notes (e.g. in the event of illness) and view diaries.

Webmail for students

The h_da provides all students with an e-mail address. E-mails can be accessed via a web interface. A separate activation or application for this is not necessary.

Wiki server

The central wiki server at h_da is available to all departments and faculties free of charge. Here, many members of a team can work on joint documentation, revise individual documents and exchange them with each other.

WPS / HELF

Wallmedien Procurement System (WPS) and University Purchasing for Teaching and Research (HELF): Internet-based procurement system as an add-on tool to SAP. Use must be requested by the department head or the responsible manager. (So-called "restricted service", i.e. access from outside the university network is only possible via a specially set up access point ).
