Designing, planning, constructing, building, maintaining, renovating - these are key terms within architecture, which deals with residential buildings, public buildings, industrial buildings or complex urban facilities. In the six-semester Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree programme in architecture, students deal with design and art historical issues as well as building construction, building physics or construction drawing in a broad basic education. Legal and ecological aspects are also covered. In addition, the future architects will also be enabled to recognise the needs of later clients and the special features of the building environment and to optimally incorporate them into their work. Building on the Bachelor's qualification, the following Master's programme is possible:
Qualifications and competences for these fields of activity are imparted by the modules of the Bachelor's programme (German). These study units can include seminars and lectures, project phases or experimental work. A detailed presentation of the study contents can be found in the module manual. The Bachelor's programme qualifies students for a profession, but also enables them to transfer to Master's programmes.
The study programme Architecture (B.Eng.) is admission-restricted (NC). The following school-leaving qualifications, among others, apply as admission requirements:
