A successful engineering career includes not only technical tasks as well as personnel and project responsibility. In production organization, logistics and sales, economic, legal and technical issues are closely interwoven from the very beginning. In the Industrial Engineering and Management study prpgramme leading to a Bachelor of Science degree, students are trained for these interdisciplinary tasks. It is offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in cooperation with the Faculties of Mechanical Engineering and Economics. Through this cooperation, students benefit from excellently equipped laboratories, a wide range of courses, lively contacts abroad and learning centres of the three faculties. More detailed information on the study can be found on the website of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
Almost all sectors are suitable for starting a career:
Based on the Bachelor's degree, the following Master's programs are possible:
Automotive Engineering - Master of Science (Bridging courses required!)
Business Administration - Master of Science
Electrical Engineering - Master of Science
Mechancal Engineering - Master of Science (Bridging courses required!)
Plastic Engineering - Master of Science (Bridging courses required!)
Industrial Engineering - Master of Science
The modules of the Bachelor's programme provide qualifications and skills for these fields of activity. These can be seminars, lectures or exercises, for example. Excursions, project work phases as well as internships and laboratory phases are also included (see diagram). You can find a detailed presentation of the course contents in the module manual (German). After the bachelor's degree, students can continue their studies at the h_da to obtain a master's degree in industrial engineering.
Industrial Engineering (B.Sc.) can also be pursued as a dual study programme. Further information can be found on the website of the faculty.
Previous education. What is required? The degree program Industrial Engineering and Management (B.Sc.) is not admission restricted (no NC). Proof of an internship of eight weeks must be submitted by the end of the third semester. Among other things, these school-leaving certificates are considered admission requirements:
A detailed description of the admission requirements can be found in the Special Provisions of the Examination Regulations (German).
