Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences supports the idea of open access and therefore signed the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities back in 2015. With its Open Access Resolution (DE), Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences encourages its members to make publications accessible in the spirit of Open Access. The EUT+ Open Research Statement further underlines the importance.

As an institutional repository, h_docs offers all members of h_da the opportunity to publish scientific documents electronically on the Internet in the spirit of open and free access to science (Open Science). In addition, h_docs supports the university bibliography and lists h_da publications. These include journal articles, monographs, collective works, contributions to collective works, conference proceedings, contributions to conference proceedings and grey literature.

The EUT+ Academic Press is available to the partners of the EUT+ Alliance as a university publisher. All content can be read online free of charge. The publishing house is committed to the principle that science should be accessible to all without barriers or barriers to payment. It offers authors a worldwide readership and thus contributes to the dissemination of knowledge.

The publisher publishes high-quality scientific works in all subject areas. All material is published under the "Creative Commons Attribution-Non-commercial-No Derivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)" licence. In accordance with "Gold Open Access", users receive free, immediate and permanent online access to the original version of a publication. There are currently no fees for authors.

As a shared repository, OpenAIRE provides a home for all EUT+ institutions. Their institutional repositories deliver their content to OpenAIRE, where it is presented as output of the European University of Technology. Currently, the EUT+ repository contains more than 90,000 publications and over 1,800 research datasets as well as research software and other output.
