If you have obtained your higher education entrance qualification abroad, you will need proof of your German language skills for German-language degree programmes. This is generally not required for English-language degree programmes.
Please note: The language requirements for the application differ from those for enrolment.
One of the following complete certificates must be uploaded by the application deadline. Subsequent submission is not possible. A certificate of attendance is not sufficient:
With these language certificates, however, you cannot enrol in a study programme. If you are admitted, you will also receive an invitation to the DSH course. Please note the minimum requirement for studies.
For enrolment in the desired degree programme, proof of your language skills in the form of one of the following documents must be uploaded by 31 March/30 September:
If you have applied directly to a degree program via Uni Assist and you initially only meet the minimum German language level for application to h_da, you will receive an invitation to the DaF preparatory course in addition to the letter of admission to the degree program. However, you also have the option of applying directly for the DaF preparatory course via Uni Assist.
If you have any questions about registering for the preparatory course, please contact the DSH Advice Center.
You can find further information on the website of the Language Center.
