Admission requirements fulfilled.

Certified advanced training to business management administrator at the Hessian Association of Schools of Management (HVSV) fulfils admission requirements for a public management degree course.

Career-integrated studies possible.

A public management degree course can be integrated within professional activities in public administration. Merits accrued during a certified advanced training to business management administrator at the Hessian Association of Schools of Management (HVSV), or during comparable advanced training, are credited to the degree course total to the tune of 60 credit points. The other modules take place at the Dieburg campus on Fridays and Darmstadt campus on Saturdays. Exams are scheduled in such a way as to provide sufficient preparation time for them, alongside professional duties.

Which contributions are expected of employers?

  • Agreeing to organize working hours so as to permit students to participate in courses held at the Dieburg campus on Fridays.
  • Employing students in suitable spheres of activity within the practical phase framework and designating a supervisor.
  • If necessary, appropriately supplementing an existing employment contract.

Prerequisites. What is to be expected?

A certified university entrance qualification is one prerequisite for admission to a public management degree course. Furthermore, verification of theoretical and practical skills plus knowledge of public administration, or administration of other organisations which are not – or not primarily – profit-oriented. Proof may be submitted in the form of a certified, relevant vocational training – for instance in public administration – and/or at least two years relevant professional employment.
