Student advisory service
Our services are free-of-charge, confidential and result-oriented. We only provide support on personal and individual case-related terms – readily as pre-arranged appointments, as opposed to our normal consulting hours.
We can inform you about all aspects of study course contents, their pre-conditions and the application process itself. Above all, we’re here to help you to effectively organize all the information to hand in order for you to reach a suitable decision. You can gain an impression of how we work at h-da.de/erleben (German).
We provide counselling for difficulties at all stages of study. The most common issues include:
- Interruption of studies
- Excessive demands and exhaustion
- Exam nerves
- Motivation and concentration
- Time management
- Learning strategies and techniques
- Problems with lecturers
- private emergencies
- Exam and learning coaching
- Study progress monitoring
If you participate in study progress monitoring, you allow us to view your examination results. If any complications did become apparent, we could invite you to take part in a counselling session. A Einverständniserklärung (declaration of consent) needs to be signed to register. Further information about our programme is published in issue 20 (German) of the University’s in-house newsletter, as well on Youtube.
Advice from students & lecturers
Our offer (German) incorporates workshops, informational events, visits to school classes, school appointments & educational fairs.
