Applied computer science

The Research Center for Applied Computer Science (fz ai) bundles a wide range of research activities at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. The common core are techniques of computer science and information and communication technologies applied to social, economic or scientific issues. Examples of relevant topics are Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, Smart Data, Real-Time Analytics, Smart Home, Smart Cities, Smart Grids, Mixed Reality, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Scientific Computing, autonomous and smart systems, ubiquitous human-machine interaction, reliability and security of software, and cybersecurity and -privacy.
