Corona pandemic: Current developments and regulations at the h_da

Dear students,

In the winter semester, we will continue to be an open and lively university and offer you a study programme where you can meet, discuss, work and learn together.

We can only implement the presence organisationally by lifting the distance requirement in the seminar rooms, i.e. all seats provided in the teaching rooms can and may be used again.

Important here: some infection control measures at the university will remain in place until further notice and continue to be of high importance. These include in particular:

The recommendation to wear a mask, which we consider the most important and effective protective measure.
    Hygiene requirement
Generous ventilation, supported by CO2 traffic lights

In view of the very changeable course of the pandemic so far, further attendance at the h_da is of course also subject to the respectively valid legal regulations or legal framework conditions, possibly new scientific findings as well as the concrete infection situation at our university.

How individual courses are organised in the winter semester is decided decentrally by the departments for their degree programmes. Although face-to-face study should remain the rule in winter, online or hybrid modules will of course also continue to be offered. Please contact your department directly if you have any questions.

We wish you a successful winter semester 2022/2023.

Dr. Tanja Münch

Comm. Head of the Department of Studies, Teaching and Student Affairs at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences

These rules apply in the winter semester:

Distance:
In presence mode, we cannot maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres. There are no corona-specific capacity limits for rooms. Lifts and toilets can be used normally. Nevertheless: Wherever possible, keep your distance! The most important substitute for distance is masks and ventilation.

Masks:

The university management recommends wearing a mask in all university buildings where a distance of 1.5 m cannot be maintained.

Please stay at home if you show signs of illness!
The university draws attention to the legal regulations regarding the obligation to wear a mask (five days after the first positive test) and the recommendation of the state government regarding isolation (for infected persons with symptoms), which apply quite generally and therefore also within Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.

After surviving a Corona infection, we recommend carrying out a rapid or self-test to be on the safe side.
